Woman seriously injured after being hit by car

A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car on a crossing in Scunthorpe.

The 71-year-old was struck by a black BMW on Kingsway at about 13:30 BST on Saturday, Humberside Police said.

She was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries police described as serious.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
