Motorcyclist dies after collision with car

A motorcyclist in his 60s has died after a collision with a car.

At around 21:10 GMT on Tuesday, a Yamaha YP 400 travelling on the A350 towards Semington in Wiltshire collided with a Volkswagen car driven by a man in his 20s at the West Ashton crossroads.

The driver of the car suffered no reported injuries.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: "Next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this tragic time."

A road closure are still in place on Wednesday morning between Yarnbrook and Ashton Common while forensic investigations take place.

Traffic is being diverted through Trowbridge, with delays expected until the road fully reopens around midday.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.
