Man charged with conspiracy to murder over attack

A man has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder following armed disorder in Walsall.
Amar Khan, 40, was arrested by West Midlands Police on Thursday in connection with group violence in Reedswood Lane, Birchills, late on 31 July 2024.
Four people were seriously injured during the disorder, during which a vehicle was rammed and those inside it sustained gunshot and stabbing wounds.
Mr Khan has also been charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm, possessing a firearm and having a knife, and is due before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court at 10:00 BST on Saturday.
Eight other men previously convicted in relation to the incident were jailed in June.
