Three friends who worked together in Sark 50 years ago have reunited in the island.

Elizabeth Perree, Dianne Jones and Polly Morgan all worked at Sark's La Sablonnerie Hotel.

Ms Perree, who now owns the hotel, said she had a "great surprise" when her two friends and former colleagues visited this week.

"I had a postcard to say they would be on Sark and then of course, there they are on my doorstep", she said.

"We just all worked together and here we are, we had lots of fun."

"It is really lovely to see them, it was a great surprise yesterday."

Three photos laid on a grey carpet. There is an image on the left with a lady standing on a cliff in a white dress. The middle image is a lady with a chequered shirt with white trousers and on the right is two people sat next to each other on the grass.

Ms Jones, who now lives in Orkney, said: "Sark was another world it was just beautiful - this island really opened my eyes to beauty.

"It was so unusual, different and lovely being here.

"Working here, it was just lovely meeting people from all over the world, we just loved it."
