Three occupants of a house were held in a bedroom while three masked men ransacked their house in Carryduff, County Down.

The gang entered the property in BarsonsGrange just before 21:45 GMT on Saturday.

One of the men took the householder's mobile phones and made them stay in a bedroom while the other two masked men rummaged through the upstairs rooms.

Police say a sum of cash and an item of jewellery were taken during the incident and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Appeal for information

Det Insp Ryan said damage was also caused to a phone belonging to one of the occupants.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash cam footage to contact us, as we are keen to identify vehicles linked to the suspects," he said.
