Man, 70, dies after being hit by lorry

A man has been killed after being struck by lorry, police have said.
The 70-year-old pedestrian was struck by a DAF Trucks vehicle at about 10:45 GMT on Monday on the carriageway of the A666 Bolton Road in Darwen.
Lancashire Police said the man died at the scene with the road closed for several hours while an investigation took place.
The force is appealing for witnesses and any footage of the incident.
