M1 shut for nearly two hours following crash

The M1 northbound in Bedfordshire has reopened after a multi-vehicle crash.

National Highways said the busy motorway was shut between junction 11, for Luton, and junction 11a, for Houghton Regis and Dunstable, for nearly two hours, from about 09:20 GMT.

National Highways said all of the emergency services, including Bedfordshire Police, and its traffic officers had been at the scene.

All lanes have fully reopened and it thanked drivers for their patience.
