Police have launched an appeal after a man was attacked and repeatedly kneed in the ribs in Newark.
Officers said the victim was approached by three men and assaulted near Castle Gate roundabout at about 9:30 BST on 21 August.
The man was knocked to the ground, repeatedly kneed in the ribs and had his toe broken, said police.
The attackers then reportedly walked away in the direction of Newark town centre.
Nottinghamshire Police are now appealing for witnesses as well as CCTV and dashcam footage.
PC Will Green said: "This assault took place in broad daylight, close to the town centre, while a significant number of vehicles will have been passing through the area too.
"If you were walking or driving near Castle Gate around this time and saw anything, we want to speak to you urgently.
"Likewise, we'd like to see any dashcam, CCTV, mobile, or doorbell camera footage that may have inadvertently captured what happened."
