Woman suffers serious injuries in house fire

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a fire at a house in south Staffordshire.
Emergency crews were called to the home off The Parkway in Perton, near Wolverhampton, at about 16:00 BST on Tuesday.
Paramedics said they found the woman outside the house when they arrived and she had suffered serious injuries.
She was airlifted to the specialist burns unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
