Firefighters tackle large moorland blaze overnight

About 30 firefighters have been dealing with a large moorland fire in West Yorkshire overnight.

Crews from six stations, including the fire service's wildfire units, have been tackling the blaze at Acres Lane in Holmfirth since about 22:50 BST on Saturday.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had been dealing with a "large fire front". The cause of the fire is not yet known.

A spokesperson said there was "no need for alarm", but urged people to avoid the area.
