Islanders are still unable to use the Railway Walk due to fallen trees and hanging branches.

A tornado and strong winds hit Jersey on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 November, blowing trees down across the island.

The government said the path from St Aubin to Corbière would remain impassable but that specialist equipment had arrived from the UK to clear the larger trees.

"We'd ask that islanders do not try to do the Railway Walk themselves please and to stay off the route for now," the government said.
