Woman knocked unconscious in city centre attack

A woman was punched in the face and knocked unconscious in an attack in Gloucester city centre, police have said.
The victim, aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital following the incident on Wellington Street, on the road adjoining Eastgate Street, at about 01:00 BST on Sunday.
A 23-year-old man, from Gloucester, was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said the force would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or anyone who has any information which may be relevant.
