A secondary school in Keighley has been closed to almost all students due to flooding.

Heavy rain overnight flooded several areas of Holy Family Catholic School, in Spring Gardens Lane.

On Monday, the school said it was closed to all students except those sitting GCSE exams in English and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

All other learning will be carried out remotely with the school expected to reopen to all students tomorrow.

In a statement posted online, external the school said: "Following the heavy rainfall overnight unfortunately several areas of the school building are flooded.

"Therefore the school will be closed to all students other than those due to sit examinations today. They will be dismissed to go home immediately following their exam.

"We will update on the situation for tomorrow as soon as we can. Apologies for any inconvenience."
