Man accused of woman's murder to stand trial

A man is set to go on trial accused of a woman's murder.
Melissa Eastick, 36, was found dead at a property in Stockton Terrace, in the Grangetown area of Sunderland, on 17 October.
Stephen Todd, 41, pleaded not guilty to the charge at a Newcastle Crown Court hearing on Wednesday.
Mr Todd, of Buttermere Street, Sunderland, was remanded in custody, and his trial has been scheduled for 21 October.
