A developer has lodged an appeal against the refusal of a housing development in East Sussex.

The Planning Inspectorate confirmed Reside Developments had lodged an appeal connected with its proposals to build 21 homes on a green field site between Newick and North Chailey.

The scheme had been refused planning permission by Lewes District Council in April, due to its location and its impact on the semi-rural character of the area.

With the appeal now ongoing, interested parties will have until November 20 to lodge comments.
