A woman allegedly posed as a charity worker to steal £200 from an 80-year-old man, police have said.

The incident happened in Stonehouse, near Stroud, at about midday on 25 May.

The man was approached by a woman asking if he had any money, before it is alleged she escorted him to a cashpoint on the High Street and then ran off with the cash.

Gloucestershire Police have released a CCTV image to try and identify a woman in connection with the suspected fake charity scam.

Members of the public who recognise her have been asked to get in touch with the force via an online form.
