A man in his 70s has died in hospital six weeks after being hit by a car.

The crash happened at the junction of Kingston Road and Petersfield Avenue in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, on 13 October.

Surrey Police said the victim died in hospital on 22 November "as a result of the injuries he sustained".

Officers continue to appeal for information and dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.

Police said the driver of a Volkswagen Polo involved in the crash has been interviewed and investigations are still ongoing.
