Five motorbikes, zombie knives and a large amount of cannabis have been seized in a drugs raid.

Lancashire Police said officers searching a property on Willow Hey in Skelmersdale also discovered several mobile phones, four e-bikes, machetes and an electronic stun gun.

A variety of suspected stolen professional tools, including grinders and saws, were additionally found in Wednesday's operation.

A 39-year-old man and two boys, both 16, have variously been arrested on suspicion of possessing and supplying drugs, theft of a motor vehicle, and possessing a firearm. All remained in custody, police said.

'Violence and intimidation'

Sgt Luke Newman, from the West Lancashire Task Force, highlighted residents' concerns about electric and scrambler bikes.

He said: "Removing another nine from the streets of Skelmersdale, along with the eight seized during last week's operation, is really good news for those communities who should not be put at risk by reckless riding."

The latest raid is part of Operation Warrior, Lancashire Police's response to tackling serious and organised crime in the county.

It aims to target those involved in crime and associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation and fraud.
