A committee looking at tax in Sark will set up six focus groups to look at the issue after a review.

It said the feedback had given them "clear steers" on the areas to investigate further.

The next step involved the creation focus groups on key areas, including hospitality and retirement, the committee said.

Chairman Kevin Delaney thanked residents for their "very positive participation" in the review.

He said focus groups would be created for six key areas, including:

  • Hospitality – accommodation

  • Hospitality – food and retail

  • Retire on Sark (economically inactive)

  • Retired to Sark (economically inactive)

  • Agriculture and fisheries

  • Work from home
