Children in Need: 'My sister is a warrior for surviving eye cancer'

An eight-year-old girl, from Wolverhampton, has become the third member of her family to contract a rare type of eye cancer, called retinoblastoma.

Kriti's mother and grandfather both had to have an eye removed as a result of the disease.

Kriti's eyes have been saved, but she has had to cope with more than 200 appointments at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Her mother Aazmeen said they couldn't have got through it without the support of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, external, a charity which receives funding from Children in Need.

Armanie, her 15-year-old sister, said Kriti was a "warrior" and had inspired her ambition to become a paediatric oncologist.
