Trial date for woman charged with boy's murder

A trial date has been set for a woman accused of murdering an eight-year-old boy.

Cleveland Police was called by ambulance staff to a property in Marsh House Avenue, Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, on Monday morning.

Louise Cameron, 40, who is accused of murdering Rhys Anthony Cameron between the 13 and 15 September, appeared at Teesside Crown Court via video link from Low Newton Prison.

Judge Francis Laird said a date for Ms Cameron to enter a plea had been set for 6 November, with a trial date set for 23 February.

She was remanded in custody until her next court appearance.
