Man seriously injured in car park stabbing

Suffolk Police appealed for information following the stabbing in Newmarket

A man has been taken to hospital with serious stab wounds after he is believed to have been attacked in a car park.

Suffolk Police said it was called at 17:53 BST to The Rookery medical centre in Newmarket.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was believed to have been approached by four males.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, officers said.

Police described it as a "contained incident" involving people who knew each other.

A woman has been arrested in Haverhill on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Anyone with information about the incident, such as CCTV or doorbell camera footage, was asked to contact the force.
