'Just amazing' - fans react to England win

England fans in Felixstowe described the Euro 2024 win as "magical"

Football fans have been celebrating England booking a place in the Euro 2024 final with a thrilling late win over the Netherlands.

Supporters gathered in pubs and fan parks on Wednesday to watch England’s 2-1 semi-final win.

They described the match as "unbelievable" and filled the night with chants of "it's coming home".

Josh Wild, 24, who was at the Norwich Fan Park, in Earlham Park, described the match as "incredible" and said Sunday's final against Spain in Berlin would be a contest of "pork sausages versus chorizo”.

Daegon Watts, 23, organiser of the fan park event, and said he was “over the moon” that England had made the final.

Darcy, 20, who was also at the fan park, said: "It’s just amazing.

"In the second half we brought it back a bit. But hopefully we will bring it home.”

Looking ahead to the final, Jaxon Tatedyke, 24, said Spain would be a tougher test but he hoped England would be up to the challenge.

Another fan at the park said: "There’s no way we can lose this final. It has to happen - the country is ready, boys are ready, we fought so hard for today."

Fans will now gather again on Sunday as England bid to win their first trophy for 58 years.
