Northamptonshire Police advised motorists to find alternative routes on Monday morning after the crash

A pedestrian has been seriously hurt after being hit by a car.

It happened on the A43 at Kettering, Northamptonshire, at 06:15 BST, on the stretch between junction seven of the A14 and Rockingham Road.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

Police have appealed for anyone who has dashcam footage of the crash, which involved a white Ford Mondeo, to get in touch.
