An 84-year-old woman died in the crash in Kidderminster

A woman was killed in a collision between a Land Rover and a lorry.

The 84-year-old woman was a passenger in the Land Rover which was involved in a collision on the A449 south of Kidderminster on Sunday.

A black Land Rover Discovery and a lorry collided at the junction with Summerfield Lane, near to the Mare and Colt pub, shortly after 16:50 BST.

The woman died at the scene. Another person was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries and West Mercia Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

"We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage of it," a police spokesperson said.
