Ramblers Carnival Club were amongst the big winners

The winners of this year's Guy Fawkes Carnival season have been revealed.
The longstanding Somerset tradition sees different Carnival Clubs compete against each other in a number of categories centred around design, creativity and performance.
The season sees carnivals taking place in Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, Noth Petherton, Midsomer Norton, Shepton Mallet and Wells before ending in Glastonbury.
With all the scored counted it has been revealed that Ramblers Carnival Club won top prize in the Feature class for their float 1912 All Out and Huckyduck Carnival Club won the tableau category for Scarecrow Partea - with both being crowned joint overall winners.
"It was a great night with an absolutely massive crowd at Glastonbury," said David Churches, secretary of Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnival Association.
"The competition was the best that we've ever seen, it was a truly fantastic parade," he added.
"The Ramblers piece on the miners strike of 1912 was very dramatic and had a great piece of music to fit so the whole aura of the thing was absolutely brilliant.
"Huckyduck decided to do a countryside scarecrows party with a giant steam engine, big scarecrows and beautiful costumes.
"But both clubs couldn't let anything slip on any of the nights because right behind them there were lots of other very good entries making it very difficult for the judges."

Huckyduck's Scarecrow Partea was the other overall winner
Both winning clubs scored maximum points at all seven carnivals on the circuit over the past two weeks.
Amongst the other winners this year were Newmarket Carnival Club, who won the Comic Feature category for their piece Ghost Chickens.
Rubalo Juvenile Carnival Club were this year's winners in the Juvenile category.
Mr Churches said many clubs were already looking ahead to 2026: "From what I can gather quite a few are already working on or have plans afoot for what they will be doing next year."
