Woman, 65, in court after man's body found

A 65-year-old woman has appeared before magistrates charged with murder and preventing lawful burial.

Cheryl Downs, of Terry Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was arrested after a man's body was found at an address in the street.

Magistrates in High Wycombe remanded her in custody.

She is due to appear before a judge at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday.

Police said the body of the 63-year-old man was discovered at about 18:45 BST on Friday.

They said the man had yet to be formally identified.
