Actress Lena Headey talks about the ups and downs of motherhood

Lena Headey, best known as Queen Cersei Lannister in Games of Thrones, has been open about her battle with postnatal depression while filming the first series of the hit show.

The mum of two says being a mum means you're always the last to take a shower.

“It’s life changing isn’t it? It means you come last in everything in the nicest possible way.

“With the second baby it is easier and with the first it is terrifying. You think 'Am I going to break them, give them too much sugar or too much telly?'"

“Just be the best parent you can be and that’s it, they’ll be alright, they’ll be alright."
