Thameslink train seats likened to 'ironing boards'

Passengers have been venting concerns about uncomfortable seats on the brand new Thameslink trains.

The plastic seats have been compared by passengers to "ironing boards" or "like sitting on metal".

However, Thameslink says the new designs are down to fire safety rules and to prevent the seats from being vandalised.
