Flooding: River bank bursts in Anglesey town

Streets in an Anglesey town have become a river - after the Afon Cefni burst its banks following hours of torrential rain.

Water breached defences in Llangefni on Wednesday evening - as flooding hit other parts of Wales.

There has been widespread disruption on roads and rail, forcing the A55 to be closed in a number of locations, including the Britannia Bridge.

Police also reported roads closed across parts of Gwynedd, and localised flooding in parts of Conwy and Pembrokeshire.

The flooding in Llangefni was captured by staff at the local MônFM radio station.
