Pretend puffins installed in Isle of Man to attract real birds

Hundreds of model puffins are being used to lure the real birds back to the coast of the Isle of Man.

Life-like decoys and a sound system playing puffin calls have been placed on cliffs on a small island off the Manx coast to entice the birds to breed there.

Puffins were last known to breed on the Calf of Man in the 1980s but have been killed off by rodents.

Laura Howe, from Manx Wildlife Trust, explained how a team of volunteers have set up the pretend puffin colony.
