Sleepy seal pup snoozes on Isle of Man beach

A sleepy seal pup that washed up on a beach was given police protection while it rested.

The exhausted animal came ashore in Peel on the Isle of Man on Wednesday to recharge its batteries and was cordoned off to the public so it could have an uninterrupted nap.

Animal welfare officers kept a close eye on the cute creature before it made its way back to sea.
