Cashing in on Mao Zedong's legacy

Nestled in the hills of Hunan, the village of Shaoshan is gearing up to celebrate the birth of its most famous son - Mao Zedong. Thousands of people are making a pilgrimage to the village to mark the 120th anniversary.

Chairman Mao was born on 26 December 1893. The Great Helmsman, of course, denounced capitalism during his Communist revolution.

But now villagers in Shaoshan are cashing in by selling Mao memorabilia - one shop sells up to 2,000 Mao statues a day.
