Newspaper headlines: 'Horror at the playground' as British girl stabbed

Thursday's attack on children in France, in which a three year-old British girl is among the wounded, is on many of the front pages.
The Mirror praises a woman who attempted to stop, external - as the paper puts it - the "knife maniac".
The Sun says the suspect has been named as a 31-year-old Syrian migrant Abdalmasih, external. The paper says his application for asylum is thought to have been declined four days before the attack.
According to the Daily Express, external, he had a refugee status in Sweden.
The man told police he was a Christian, and the authorities said he had no criminal record or history of psychiatric illness.
In other news, The Times describes the Atlantic Declaration, external - announced by Rishi Sunak and president Biden on Thursday - as an economic alliance to close ranks against China.
The paper says the deal, in effect, proclaims the end of the era of unfettered globalisation.
On its front page, the Guardian describes the declaration as little more than a series of economic mini-deals, external, with relatively few details and no attempt to estimate any overall economic benefit.
The agreement also marks a shift away from the recent UK orthodoxy of unfettered free trade in favour of mutual protectionism.
According to the Financial Times, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is to scale back the windfall tax on oil and gas producers,, external in order to boost investment in the North Sea. The paper says that under the plan, the levy will apply only if oil and gas prices are above a certain level.
"Ukraine begins counter-offensive, as Western tanks hit the front line", external is the Daily Telegraph's main front page headline.
The article quotes unnamed Ukrainian officials saying that the deployment of Leopard Two tanks in the southern Zaporizhzhia region meant the operation was under way.
The same sources also said that the Russians had put up stiff resistance and the Ukrainians had suffered losses.
