Newspaper headlines: Oust PM or 'go extinct' and 'tragedy of uni stabbings'

A number of Wednesday's newspapers lead on the Nottingham stabbings, after a crown court accepted a manslaughter plea by Valdo Calocane who killed three people last summer including two students.
"In god's name, why wasn't he stopped?" demands the Daily Mail's headline which reports a "litany of missed chances" left a man with paranoid schizophrenia "free to roam" the city, external.
The Times says a warrant had been issued for a previous offence as it reflects on Calocane facing life in prison after he admitted to the triple stabbing in Nottingham, external.
"Monster and coward," reads the Sun's headline as it points to Calocane's sentencing which will happen at Nottingham Crown Court, external later on Wednesday.
The Daily Mirror says Grace O'Malley-Kumar died a hero, after trying to protect her fellow student, Barnaby Webber, who was also killed. Prosecutors told Nottingham Crown Court the university student showed "incredible bravery"., external
Ms O'Malley-Kumar's brother tells the Daily Express she lost her life because she would never leave a friend, external. James O'Malley-Kumar described how his sister's "last moments were in pain", shortly after she had tried to save Mr Webber.
Elsewhere, the Daily Telegraph leads with a warning from the Chief of the General Staff who says the British Army is too small to fight a war with Russia, external. The paper says General Sir Patrick Sanders will use a speech later to stress the need for the government to "mobilise the nation" in the event of a conflict - although it adds that he would not support conscription.
The Financial Times calls the further delay to the Hinkley C nuclear power plant a "blow" to the UK's long-term energy plans, external. The paper says "Britain's flagship" plant has been pushed back until 2029, at the earliest, as costs spiral to £46bn.
Finally, the Daily Star leads with reports from South America claiming a Brazilian woman is demanding the exhumation of the body of footballing icon Pele, who passed away 13 months ago, after claiming she is his secret daughter, external.
