In an open letter to Ariana Grande, a US father of three advised her to sing again when she feels ready
A father of three has penned a heartfelt open letter to Ariana Grande following the Manchester attack where 22 people were killed and 64 injured.
The letter, external posted on Twitter by US film producer Patrick Millsaps told Ms Grande that she was a part of their family and that she didn't have a "dadgum thing to apologise for".
Following the attack the 23-year-old singer and actress tweeted that she was "sorry" and "broken".
The concert in Manchester was part of Ms Grande's world tour, the tour has since been suspended until 7 June, when she is expected to perform in Paris.
Patrick Millsaps started his letter by saying Ariana was part of his family, he wrote: "After reading a tweet you posted on Twitter the other night; I'm afraid I need to set you straight girl. So listen up and receive some redneck love from a daddy of daughters.
"You see, you are no more responsible for for the actions of an insane coward who committed an evil act in your proximity than you would be for a devastating natural disaster or acts of morons near your hotel. Your text was some stinkin' thinkin' in that regard.
"When and only when you are ready, on behalf of all dads who love your... um... whose daughters' love your music SING AGAIN," Mr Millsaps told the singer.
"Every time you open your mouth and share that incredible God-given gift to the world, you make this crappy world a little less crappy," he continued.

The father of three girls - aged 13, 12 and 12, said that this "unsolicited advice" was coming from "a fat dude in Georgia who loves his daughters and appreciate that there are people like you in the world".
He advised her: "Take care of you first. Your fans aren't going anywhere."
Many who commented, external on Mr Millsap's post said that the world "needed" more men like this and hoped Ariana would see the letter.

Ariana's manager Scooter Braun has also paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester attack in a series of tweets, saying: "Am I angry? Hell yes. But how will we respond? With everything you think you took from us... love and joy and life."
