Flybe's revenues per seat increased
Higher passenger numbers have boosted revenues at budget regional airline Flybe.
In a trading update, the Exeter-based carrier said its revenues for the three months to 30 June totalled £160.4m, up 8.3% from a year earlier.
Its passenger numbers increased by 7.7% to 1.98 million. Flybe did not release a profit figure.
Flybe said it was a "satisfactory" performance against a backdrop of higher fuel costs and a tough economy.
It added that its revenue per seat - a key financial indicator for airlines - had risen by 4.9% to £48.09.
