Guinness maker Diageo announces profit rise

The world's biggest drinks maker, Diageo, has announced a 15% rise in half year profits.

The firm makes many famous alcoholic brands like Smirnoff, Guinness, and Johnnie Walker whisky.

Weak growth in the US and the eurozone has been offset by booming profits in emerging markets.

Chief Executive of Diageo, Paul Walsh, explained how important emerging markets have become to the brand.
