Davos 2015: In Pictures

The annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, attracts business and government leaders from all over the globe. Here are some of the highlights:

The forum's founder and organiser Klaus Schwab told delegates that, "we are here to be passionate and to show our compassion".

One thing about Davos - there's a lot of queuing and security to get through if you want to attend any of the talks.

Politics always plays its part, too. On Wednesday Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko asked IMF head Christine Lagarde for more financial assistance for his country.

With an an uncertain economic outlook affecting many countries. China's Premier Li Keqiang said he would push ahead with reforms to boost his country's growth prospects.

...the former US vice president is working with US singer Pharrell Williams - who says he hopes to have a billion voices demanding "climate action now".

Kings and queens also come along. Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were among those at the opening session.

And where would Davos be without snowmen? In this case 193 with national flags. The group Action 2015 wants to highlight the need for the world's richest to do more about poverty, growing inequality and climate change.
