Bank blames Russia for rise in energy prices
The Governor of the Bank of England tells the BBC that interest rates needed to rise in order to control rising inflation and despite his own predictions of a lengthy recession starting later this year. Mr Bailey said that Russia’s invasion was the cause for the big increases in energy prices.
