Brexit: The Singapore lesson

As the UK contemplates what life might be like outside the European Union, what economic model could it possibly adopt to stay successful in the future?

One theory is that it could turn into an "Atlantic Singapore" - an outward-looking nation that's part of an economic block, but without the political strings attached.

But how realistic is that?
