Katy Perry and Lady Gaga lead MTV EMA nods

Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are leading the nominations for the MTV Europe Music Awards with five nods each.
The US singers are up against each other in the best pop, female, song and video categories, with Gaga also up for best live act and Perry nominated for best world stage performance.
Muse lead the British charge with three nods, including best rock, live act and world stage performance.
The ceremony will take place in Madrid on 7 November.
Eminem is up for four awards including best hip hop, male, song and video for his collaboration with Rihanna on hit single Love the Way You Lie.
R&B star Usher has also picked up three nods in the best pop, male and song categories.
Muse will compete against Thirty Seconds to Mars, Linkin Park and Kings of Leon and Ozzy Osbourne in the best rock category, while Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, B.o.B, Jason Derulo and British rapper Plan B will go head to head in competition for best new act.
In addition, artists from across Europe have been nominated in the regional category.
MTV viewers can vote online for the UK regional category from nominees Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding, Marina and the Diamonds, Delphic and Rox - with the winner competing for the title of best European act.
Other British acts to receive nominations include X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and Professor Green who are both up for Push Act, and Gorillaz who are also in the running in the world stage performance and alternative categories.
Katy Perry and rockers Linkin Park are confirmed to perform at the ceremony.
