Soul singer Cee Lo Green has fended off competition from reunited Take That stars Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow to top the official UK singles chart.

Green, who made his name with pop duo Gnarls Barkley, reached the top spot with his track Forget You.

Williams and Barlow's duet Shame, taken from the former's forthcoming greatest hits album, is in second place.

Tinie Tempah - at five in the singles chart with Miami 2 Ibiza - tops this week's album chart with Disc-Overy.

Cee Lo Green's track - available as the radio-friendly Forget You and also in a more profane version - has now sold around 107,000.

It is one of just seven singles released this year to have had sales of more than 100,000 copies in its first week on release.

Shame marks the first time Barlow and Williams have written and recorded together since the latter left Take That in 1995.

Williams' greatest hits compilation is out this week, with Take That's latest album Progress to follow next month.
