Tinchy Stryder and Kaiser Chiefs are among experts who have signed up to give advice at the inaugural BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass.

The 3 February event at London's Abbey Road and Maida Vale studios aims to connect "under-the-radar musicians" with music industry professionals.

Musicians who have worked with acts including Take That and Dizzee Rascal will host practical sessions.

The event is presented by Radio 1, 6 Music and the Introducing website.

BBC Introducing editor Jason Carter said the masterclass , externalwould be "solely built around developing musicians and advising them about all facets of the industry".

"From sessions on drumming and lyrics to the artist-led talks, the live streaming content online and available after will enable musicians from all over the UK to benefit from the wealth of advice on offer," he said.

The event will be closed by a version of Question Time, hosted by Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley in which musicians will put their questions to experts including Radio 1's head of music George Ergatoudis.
