Nero scores first UK number one

Nero's debut album will be released on 15 August

British dance act Nero have scored their first UK number single with their track, Promises.

The duo, who were shortlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2011, toppled former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd from the top spot, who fell to number three.

JLS remained at number two for a second week with She Makes Me Wanna.

Meanwhile, the late Amy Winehouse continued to top the UK album chart with her Grammy-winning album, Black to Black, for a third week.

David Guetta's collaboration with rappers Taio Cruz and Ludacris climbed two places to four with Little Bad Girl.

Guetta also had a new entry in the chart with Titanium at 16, while a third track by the producer with Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj, Where Them Girls At, was at 21.

Christina Perri's Jar of Hearts was the highest climber in the top 20, going from 17 to number five.

In the album chart Adele's second record, 21, remained at two while her debut album, 19, fell one place to five behind Winehouse's debut effort, Frank.

The highest new entry came from US rapper Jay Z and Kanye West, whose collaboration Watch The Throne came in at three.

There were also two other new entries in the album chart top 20 - Best Of Randy Crawford at seven and Trivium's In Waves which entered at 16.
