Meet the Author: Victoria Hislop

Writer Victoria Hislop has released her third novel, The Thread.

The author talks about why she decided to base the story in Greece and its second largest city, the port of Thessaloniki.

Victoria Hislop also told the BBC's Nick Higham why she waited until her forties to start writing fictional novels and how it is a lifestyle change from her former career as a journalist.
