Damien Hirst hits out at critics

Damien Hirst has hit out at his critics ahead of a major retrospective of his work at The Tate Modern in London.

He told the BBC's Arts Editor Will Gompertz, that his work has previously been accused of being "childish and thoughtless" but he admitted he ignores his negative critics.

He said: "What I try and do is not take the nice things too seriously and then you can avoid the bad things."
