Tulisa started out in N-Dubz

X Factor judge Tulisa has scored her first solo number one record with her single Young.

The track, written by fellow N-Dubz member Fazer, knocked Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen into number two.

Marina and the Diamonds entered the album chart at number one, in the week she postponed her UK tour on the advice of doctors.

The Welsh singer is currently undergoing treatment for damaged vocal cords.

Electra Heart, her second album, pushed previous number one Jack White's Blunderbuss down into third, behind Lana Del Rey's Born to Die.

American singer-songwriter Norah Jones is back in the UK album charts, with Little Broken Hearts entering at four.

Adele's record-breaking album 21 is at number five in the chart, following the announcement it has overtaken Michael Jackson's Thriller as the biggest selling album in UK chart history.

Her 19 album is still hanging on to a top 20 spot, more than four years after its release.

Tulisa was a member of rap group N-Dubz along with cousin Dappy and former boyfriend Fazer. The band went on hiatus last year when Tulisa landed her judging role on The X-Factor.

The future of N-Dubz is unclear as Tulisa and Dappy have been engaging in public rows on Twitter, while each member is pursuing a solo career.

The second highest new entry in the singles chart was for Bajan band Cover Drive at four, with their song Sparks. The group had a number one hit with Twilight in February.
