Norton's Big Chat line-up revealed

The Graham Norton Show took the coveted Friday night slot on BBC One from Jonathan Ross in 2010

Martin Freeman, Elle Macpherson and Jimmy Carr are among the celebrity guests who will take part in Graham Norton's marathon chat show for Comic Relief next month.

Sarah Millican, James Nesbitt and Ronnie Corbett are also lined-up to appear on the programme which will take over the entire schedule on BBC Three.

During the show, Norton will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for most questions asked on a TV chat show.

It will air on 7 March from 19:00 GMT.

Steve Jones, Lee Mack, Keith Lemon, Paddy McGuinness, Heston Blumenthal, Louis Smith, Warwick Davis, Alex Jones, Russell Tovey and Kirstie Allsopp are also on the bumper bill.

Norton will be assisted on the night by a number of co-hosts including Sir Terry Wogan and Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw.

While musical performances will come from Example, Paloma Faith, Hurts and Laura Mvula.

"David Walliams swam the Thames, John Bishop endured a week of hell and Eddie Izzard ran marathon after marathon after marathon. I am hoping to join this elite group of celebrity fundraisers by doing what I do best - sitting on my backside and talking," Norton said.

The broadcast is expected to last into the early hours of the next morning.
