Matt Stone: 'We're not slamming the Mormons'
- Published
The Book of Mormon's reputation is built on its biting satire, crude humour and the mocking of Mormonism, all three of which there is plenty. But having now seen the show twice I suspect that at least some of its success is down to its rather conservative nature. Strip away all the vulgarities and what you are left with is a traditionally structured, feel-good musical, which is chock-full of catchy show tunes.
